The problem
Synchronize is greyed out. Again.
Drag a shoot into a sequence and Premiere puts everything end to end on V1 and A1. Clip › Synchronize won't run until every clip sits on a track of its own, so before you can cut a single frame you're dragging clips up and down, one at a time.
Then the sync leaves minutes of empty timeline and a pile of half-empty tracks to clean up.

How it works

Run all does every step in order on the open sequence. Each step also has its own button, and each one is a single undo.

1 One clip per track
Every video and audio clip moves to a new track of its own, at the same place in time. Targeting goes on for all tracks, which Synchronize needs.

2 Select all & Synchronize
Sync Stacker selects every clip and opens Clip › Synchronize. With Run all it presses OK for you and waits until Premiere has lined the clips up by their audio.

3 Close gaps
Removes the stretches where no track has any media, before the first clip and between takes. Every clip moves by the same amount, in whole frames, so nothing drifts.

4 Fewest tracks
Packs the clips onto the smallest number of tracks with nothing overlapping, and removes the empty ones. Run all then targets V1 and A1, ready to cut.

Questions
Does Sync Stacker do the syncing itself?
The syncing is done by Premiere Pro's own Synchronize command, using the clips' audio. Sync Stacker does everything around it: it puts every clip on its own track so Synchronize can run, runs it for you, then closes the gaps and packs the tracks. If Premiere can match the sound, Sync Stacker gets you there in one click.
Why is Synchronize greyed out in Premiere Pro?
Synchronize only works when each selected clip is on a different track. A sequence with several clips on the same track, which is what you get when you drag a whole shoot in, leaves the command greyed out. Sync Stacker's first step fixes exactly that.
Do I need timecode or a clap?
No timecode needed. Synchronize compares the sound, so every clip needs usable audio; a camera's built-in microphone is enough. A clap or another sharp sound at the start helps, but it isn't required.
Which versions of Premiere Pro does it work with?
Adobe Premiere Pro 2021 (version 15.4) or later, on Windows 10 or 11, or on macOS 10.15 or later with Apple silicon or Intel. Sync Stacker is a panel: after installing it, open Window › Extensions › Sync Stacker and dock it wherever you like.
Will it change my media or my other sequences?
No. It only moves clips in the sequence that's open. Your media files, bins and other sequences aren't touched, and every step can be undone.
How does the license work?
Each license is for one computer. After you buy, your license key (it starts with SS-) is in the receipt email from Polar: its Access purchase button opens your customer portal with the key and the installers. Paste the key into the panel and click Activate. To switch computers, click License › Deactivate on this computer in the panel, or remove the old computer in the customer portal.
Why does my Mac ask for Accessibility permission?
To open Premiere's Clip › Synchronize and press OK in its dialog, Sync Stacker needs macOS to let Premiere Pro control the computer (Accessibility) and use System Events (Automation). macOS asks the first time you synchronize; allow both. Sync Stacker uses them for nothing else.
What do I get with the one-time license?
Sync Stacker 3 for one computer, yours to keep, with the bug-fix updates we release for version 3. New features after version 3 go to subscribers.
Can I cancel a subscription?
Yes, anytime in the customer portal. Sync Stacker keeps working until the end of the period you've paid for, and you won't be charged again.
Is there a free trial or a refund?
