Who we are

This website

• The site is hosted by Cloudflare, which processes technical data such as your IP address and browser details to deliver pages and protect the site from abuse. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.
• We may use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits. It doesn't use cookies and doesn't track you across sites.
• We don't use advertising or social media trackers.

When you buy

• Polar Software, Inc. is the merchant of record for all orders. Polar collects your name, email address, billing address and payment details to process your order, prevent fraud and meet tax rules. Card details are handled by Polar's payment processor, and we never see your full card number. See Polar's privacy policy.
• Polar shares with us your name, email address, country, what you bought and your subscription status. We use this to deliver Sync Stacker, manage licenses, answer support requests, and keep the records that accounting and tax law require.

The panel

Sync Stacker moves clips in the sequence you have open in Premiere Pro, on your own computer. It doesn't upload your projects, media or clip names to us or anyone else.

When you activate your license key, and about once a day while Premiere Pro is open, the panel checks the key with Polar's license service. It sends the key, your computer's name, whether it's a Mac or a PC, the Sync Stacker version, and an anonymous code made from your computer's hardware ID (a one-way hash, so the ID itself isn't sent). This lets your key work on one computer and lets you see and remove activated computers in the customer portal.

On a Mac, Sync Stacker uses macOS accessibility features (with your permission) only to choose Premiere Pro's Synchronize command and confirm its dialog.

If you email us, we keep the conversation so we can help you and keep a record of support.

Sharing

We don't sell your personal information. We share it only with the providers that help us run Sync Stacker, such as Polar, Cloudflare and our email provider, or when the law requires it. Some of them process data in the United States and other countries.

How long we keep it

We keep order and support records as long as your license needs them and as tax and accounting rules require, then delete them.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you can ask to see, correct, delete or export your personal information, or object to how we use it. Email us and we'll respond within the time the law requires. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.

Children

Sync Stacker isn't directed at children, and we don't knowingly collect information from children under 13, or under 16 where local law sets that age.

Changes

If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top.
